Located in Cutchogue, N.Y., on the beautiful Long Island Sound, the Long Island Education Center is both a modern educational facility and 45 guest room recreational resort sponsored by the Educational Cultural Trust Fund of the Joint Industry Board.
The purpose of the facility is to provide eligible Participants with an opportunity to both expand their horizons and socialize with fellow Participants and families.
Over the course of a weekend, a Participant can take a course and enjoy the grounds. The current course being given is the "Critical Thinking in Human Relations," which focuses on issues relevant to Union Labor and their families. After the class, a Participant and their family can spend time visiting the Center Museum with exhibits devoted to the history of the Joint Industry Board and I.B.E.W. Local Union No. 3, go for a swim in the pool, work out in the gym, enjoy a meal in the dinner hall, roam the North Fork of Long Island and experience the many restaurants, shops, and activities that make it a world-class vacation destination.
